The Jae Birds met for a group discussion on Thursday 5th. We spent about an hour looking at the work that everyone had done, both for the personal sketchbooks and for the collaborative piece. We further discussed how we would produce the final leaflet and how each sheet would be attached to the others. The majority of the problems were resolved, through talking about possible ideas, and experiences we already had in the area.
We have made a simple timetable to ensure that we keep on target and will have plenty of time to produce the final outcome.
We had exactly 2 weeks until assessment, so the pressure is on!
It is thought that we are meeting Joe and Jimmy on Monday, and depending on where and when this is, the Jae Birds will get together briefly for a quick check on where we are all up to.
By Monday we will each have our final layouts for the final piece, these will be printed out and ready for the next stage. If there are any problems, these should be rectified on Monday evening.
On Tuesday we will all go to the Printing Room, to clean and prepare our screens for printing.
And finally on the Thursday, we aim to produce the first part of the final product. From here we will then swiftly combine our individual layout ideas, on a Mac together, and get them printed in the Computer Room.
We each aim to have copies of the screen-printed layered piece, and one collaborative design, created with computers.
This then gives a few days spare, which can be used, if required in an emergency , to finish the work.
All in all, we are positive about our work, and our group.
